The short version
We're a small medical-apparel company. We collect the minimum we need to ship you a sleeve, talk to you about your fit, and run a tiny analytics setup so we can see which ads bring people here. We do not sell or rent your data. We do not share it with anyone except the carriers, payment processors, and analytics services required to run the business.
Email privacy@pivotknee.com with the email address you used at checkout. We'll wipe everything we have within 30 days and confirm in writing.
1. Who we are
Pivot Knee Co. is a medical-grade compression apparel company registered in Colorado. Our address is 2840 Cherry Creek South Drive, Denver, CO 80222. References to "we" or "us" in this policy mean Pivot Knee Co.; "you" means a visitor to pivotknee.com or a customer who has placed an order.
2. What we collect
From checkout
- Name and shipping address — to ship the sleeve.
- Email address — for order confirmation and follow-up about fit or delivery.
- Phone number — used only by the carrier on delivery day. No marketing calls or texts, ever.
- Sizing measurements (if you choose to use the assisted-fit tool) — your above-knee and below-knee circumferences. Used only to recommend a size; never sold or shared.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor. We see only the last four digits of your card and the authorization status; the full number never reaches our servers.
From your visit
- IP address and approximate region.
- Pages viewed, time on site, the page that referred you here.
- Browser, operating system, and screen size — so we can render the site correctly.
3. What we do not collect
We are not a medical provider. We do not collect, ask for, or want any of: your medical history, diagnoses, prescriptions, doctor's name, insurance details (beyond an FSA/HSA card we can charge), or any clinical record. If you mention a medical condition in a support email, we use that context to recommend a size — we do not store, index, or share it.
4. Who we share data with
- Payment processor — handles your transaction.
- Shipping carrier — receives your name and address.
- Hosting provider — Cloudflare Pages serves the site.
- Analytics — aggregate-only, privacy-conscious analytics. No re-identification.
- Email service — for order and support emails.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. If we ever change ownership through a merger or sale, you'll be notified before any data is transferred.
5. Cookies
First-party cookies hold your cart contents and remember your cookie-banner choice. One analytics service sets its own cookie to count return visits. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the site itself. You can disable cookies in your browser; the site will still work but the cart may not persist.
6. How long we keep data
Order records: kept indefinitely so you don't lose your warranty proof of purchase. We can shorten this on request. Server logs and analytics: 90 days, then rotated out.
7. Your rights
U.S. residents
Under CCPA and comparable state laws, you have the right to access, correct, port, and delete your personal information. We respond to requests within 45 days. Exercising your rights never penalizes you — your warranty stays valid, your account stays open, you pay the same prices.
EU / UK residents
You have the same rights as U.S. customers, plus the right to portability, restriction, and lodging a complaint with your supervisory authority. Our lawful basis is contractual necessity for order data and legitimate interest for analytics. You can object to analytics processing at any time via the cookie banner.
8. Children
The Pivot Sleeve is designed for adult use. The site is not directed at minors and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
9. Security
HTTPS everywhere. PCI-DSS-certified payment processor — we never store full card numbers. Order records in controlled-access storage with encrypted backups. If we ever discover a breach affecting you, we notify you by email within 72 hours of confirmation.
10. International transfers
The company and our hosting are based in the United States. For orders from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to the U.S. for fulfillment. For EU / UK customers, we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses for that transfer.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we update the date at the top and post a notice on the home page for 30 days. New categories of data sharing require fresh consent.
